About the Event

1 hour 30 mins

For the 2026 Maria Edgeworth Festival, the Witty Wicklow Writers (Jeroen Vandommele, Maria Stavropoulou and Vitor Vicente) propose a 90-minute session combining short readings and a lively, bantery conversation. Jeroen will read from his travels across Ireland, having spent a night in every county; Maria will share a piece on women and writing; and Vitor will read as a travel writer returning to Edgeworthstown and exploring the idea of revisiting places where one was happy. We will also hold a warm, witty discussion about the behind-the-scenes of writing — creativity, voice, process, humour — with room for audience interaction
