About the Event

3 hours

What this workshop covers: In this three-hour life drawing class, we will create some Regency inspired drawings of the model using poses and art materials reflective of the era. There will be a series of shorter poses followed by a longer pose. Tuition, full size easels and drawing boards as well as paper and some Recency inspired art materials will be provided. Artists may also bring their own paper and dry drawing materials if they wish.
Some drawing experience is required but all levels of drawing skill are welcome. We will do some drawing exercises at the outset and then work on some more detailed drawings according to the levels of experience of each artist. By the end of the class, it is hoped that each artist will have challenged their drawing practice a little, perhaps tried a new technique or medium and created a series of drawings reflecting the Regency era.
The room and tutor will be dressed in the Regency style and the artists are encouraged to dress in Regency style also. All of the artists are invited to enjoy some appropriately delightful refreshments at the period costumed 18th Century Mostrim Tea Party nearby, (at the Green in Edgeworthstown) after the lesson.
