Join our local guide on Edgeworthstown’s Heritage & Literary Trail. Explore a small country town in rural Ireland, quietly tucked away in Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands. And unearth its name: “The Town of the Great Writers”. Follow in the footsteps of historical figures, like Sir Walter Scott, William Wordsworth, Oscar Wilde and many more. Take this breathtaking literary walking tour and uncover their connections with the town of Edgeworthstown.

What do I need to bring?

Keep an eye on the weather and dress accordingly

Matt is the driving force behind the Maria Edgeworth Centre, where he strives to preserve her memory and raise awareness about her, her family, and the remarkable heritage of Edgeworthstown.
