Step Into the Wardrobe of Georgian Elegance

Travel back in time and immerse yourself in the refined world of an elite Georgian woman—where fashion was more than just attire; it was a statement of status, activity, and tradition.

Our journey begins with a live demonstration of the sumptuous “dressing gown,” a masterpiece of fabric and finesse worn by the gentry. From there, uncover the secrets behind a lady’s wardrobe: the sturdy wool redingote, perfect for an afternoon on horseback or a countryside stroll, and the breathtaking silk robe à la française, designed to dazzle under the chandeliers of a grand opera house or an opulent ball.

But fashion is only the beginning. Through authentic display items, step into the daily life of 18th-century women—stitching delicate embroidery, perusing library collections, managing finances and correspondence, and mastering the refined art of tea etiquette. Experience the stark contrast between the privileged lady and her devoted servants as we bring their roles and routines vividly to life.

This fascinating event promises an enchanting glimpse into the elegance, customs, and class distinctions of Georgian society. Don’t miss your chance to step into history!
